Terms of use.
These terms cover using this website: what we ask of you, what you can expect from the pages, and where the terms for an actual painting job live. Same approach as the privacy policy: plain words, no legal fog.
- These are the website's terms, not the terms of a painting job
- Prices and the calculator on this site are ballparks, not quotes
- A job is agreed in a written proposal, and the proposal wins
Who these terms cover
This website belongs to Rise and Prime Painting, a house and commercial painting company serving North Houston, Texas and Maryland. When this page says "we," "us" or "our," it means Rise and Prime Painting. "You" means anyone reading the site or sending us something through it.
Using the site means these terms apply to you. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law where you live.
These are the terms for the website, not for a job
Scope, price, schedule and everything else about paint on your walls lives in the written proposal for your project. If anything on this website looks like it says something different, the proposal wins.
Sending a form or calling us doesn't hire us, and it doesn't oblige either side to anything. A job exists when you've agreed a written proposal.
Estimates and prices on this site
Our estimates are free. The prices, ranges and starting figures on this website are general information, and the painting cost calculator gives a ballpark. Neither is a quote. We can't price a house we haven't seen.
For most residential projects, the detailed written estimate comes on the spot at the walkthrough. Once the proposal is written, the price is fixed for the agreed scope of work, and anything outside that scope is handled as a change order or add-on. More on how to read the numbers is on the disclaimer page.
What we ask of you
When you use this site, please don't:
- send us anything through a form that you don't have the right to share
- use the forms or the phone number to send spam or to sell us something we didn't ask about
- try to break, overload or get unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it
- copy the site's content to republish it as your own
- use anything here to do something illegal
If someone does, we may block them from the site. That's the whole enforcement policy.
Forms and messages
When you send a form, you're asking us to get back to you, and you're confirming that the contact details you gave are yours to give. The quote form's required checkbox is your agreement to our privacy policy and to Rise and Prime Painting contacting you about the request. What we do with the information is set out in that policy.
The content on this site
The writing, the design and the code on this site belong to Rise and Prime Painting or to whoever licensed them to us. The Painting Contractors Association logo and the paint brand names belong to their owners. Customer reviews are the words of the customers who wrote them.
You're welcome to read the site, share a link to it, or quote a short part of it with credit and a link back. Republishing whole pages as your own is the line.
The painting guides in the blog are general information about painting, not advice for your particular house. Your walls, your weather and your paint history change the answer, which is why we look at the job before we price it.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, including Google and our website agency's. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them. Their terms apply once you're there.
The site itself
We work to keep the site accurate and available, and we can't promise it will never be down or never contain a mistake. To the extent the law allows, the site is provided as it is, and Rise and Prime Painting isn't liable for a loss that comes from using it or from being unable to reach it.
Changes to these terms
When something changes, we update these terms and the date at the top moves. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated terms apply.
