Get a painting estimate in Houston.

A painting estimate in Houston is a free on-site visit where Ray Gomez, the owner, measures the work himself and writes you a detailed estimate on the spot. That price is fixed for the scope you agree on.

Tell Ray what needs paint.
Two things are required and the rest is optional. The more you tell him about the condition of what's there now, the closer that first number lands.

Three things, and the first one is a conversation.
Ray comes and looks at it
On Houston jobs the owner does the walkthrough himself. He measures the rooms or the elevation, checks what's already on the surface, and looks at the parts that decide the price. Those aren't always the parts that are easy to see.
He writes the estimate on the spot
On most residential projects the detailed written estimate is done during the walkthrough, and you are told to expect that when the appointment is set. What's being painted, what product it takes, what's excluded, and a single figure at the end. Anything needing a closer look gets named as inspection required.
The price is fixed for the scope you agree on
Once the proposal is written, that price holds for the agreed scope of work. Anything outside it is handled as a change order or an add-on, so the number does not drift while the job is running. A color consultation's included once you book.
Looking for painting work and not a price? Skip the form and start at painter jobs in Houston, because Ray talks to painters by phone. Still comparing painters? Bring these questions to ask a painting contractor to every estimate, ours included.

Recent work around Houston.
Cut lines, trim returns, the join where the wall meets the ceiling. The edges are what you are paying for.

Before you call.
How much does a painting estimate cost in Houston?
Nothing. The estimate is free and there's no deposit to get one. A deposit comes later, and only if you book the work. Our residential project minimum is $1,000, applied only if the measured price for your job lands below it.
Will someone give me a price over the phone?
Not a real one. A number given over the phone is a guess at the two things that move a painting price: what condition the surface is in, and how much prep it needs before a coat goes on. If you want a ballpark before anyone comes out, the cost calculator asks about both and gives you a range.
Who shows up to do the walkthrough?
Ray does, on Houston jobs. He owns the company, he's been in the trade more than twenty years, and he writes the estimate himself. There's no commissioned salesman in between.
What should I have ready before you come out?
Nothing formal. It helps if you know roughly which rooms or elevations you're thinking about, and whether there's anything you already know is wrong, like a patch of peeling on a north-facing wall or a spot under a window that keeps coming back. If you've got a color in mind, say so. If you haven't, that's what the color consultation is for.
Do you paint outside Houston itself?
Yes. North Houston, and that covers Tomball, Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe and Humble. You get the same standards and the same 3-Year Workmanship Warranty in all of them. We also work in Baltimore, Maryland, where Ray holds MHIC license 120401.
Does anyone on the crew speak Spanish?
Ray Gomez speaks Spanish and so does the crew, in Houston and in Baltimore. He answers (443) 743-8052 himself, so the first call, the walkthrough and the day-to-day on site can all happen in Spanish.
When do I pay for a painting job?
Payment runs in parts. A deposit is required to schedule the work, larger projects may carry progress payments as the job moves, and the final balance is due after the project is completed and we've done the final walkthrough with you. The estimate itself is free and costs you nothing to get.
Is the price fixed once you write it?
Yes, the price is fixed for the agreed scope of work once the proposal is written. Work outside that scope is handled as a change order or an add-on rather than absorbed quietly into the running total, so you see it as a separate decision. On larger or more complex projects, and on most commercial work, the proposal is sent after the visit instead of written on the spot.
What if I just want a ballpark before anyone comes out?
Use the cost calculator. It prices six services off the same factors Ray uses on the walkthrough, so the range it hands you is built the same way the real number is. It's a starting point and not a quote, and it'll tell you honestly where it can't know something.
